What is an Energy Auditor?

These days we are all concerned with doing everything we can to reduce the cost of our monthly utility bills. You may have heard the term Energy Audit before or know someone who has had an Energy Auditor come to their home, but do you know what an energy auditor does to help you save money? Most people only vaguely understand what his job is; they do however know that in the end it is to help them save money.

The energy auditor will come to your home and measure your energy consumption, check for heating and air conditioning losses using a thermal imaging camera and check the operating efficiency of your heating and air conditioning systems. Once his audit is complete, he can discuss his findings with you and make recommendations as to what you can do to improve the efficiency and reduce your utility bills.
